Gail Weaver Schenck, age 68 of Gulfport, died on Saturday, September 9, 2006 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Schenck was born and raised in West, MS and had been a resident of the MS Gulf Coast since 1968. She was a graduate of MS College and received her masters from West Texas State University. Mrs. Schenck retired from the Harrison County School District as a speech pathologist. She was a member of Handsboro Baptist Church where she also served as a sunday school teacher.
Mrs. Schenck is preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Schenck and her father, Benjamin C. Weaver.
She is survived by her children, Mernagh Howze and Jane Elizabeth Schenck; her mother, Jane Campbell Weaver all of Gulfport; her sister, Dianne Wright, and her nephew, Benjamin D. Wright both of Durham , NC; her cousin, Isaac Musselwhite of Mexico and many other loving family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Handsboro Baptist Church, where friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until service time in the activity center behind the church sanctuary. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507 or to one's favorite charity.
