Frederick Wesley Chasez, Sr., age 83, passed away on January 28, 2019 in Slidell, LA.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Terrance Chasez, Sr. and Elizabeth Krementz; his son, Leslie Allen Chasez; siblings, Terrance Chasez, Jr., Gertrude Larsson, Mary Clausen, Rene Chasez, Ray Chasez;
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hazel Chasez of Bay St. Louis; three children, Lynne Chasez of Waveland, Frederick Chasez, Jr. of Bay St. Louis, David Chasez of Bay St. Louis; grandchildren, Brett Womack, Jr., Wesley Womack, Aaron Chasez, Austa Chasez, Ashley Chasez; sister, Elizabeth Ann Scuderi; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He worked as a local building contractor, and enjoyed coaching little league, bowling, and cooking. He was a big family man and enjoyed cooking for family gatherings. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 2 years, was very active in the Masonic Lodge and later he became a Shriner.
Funeral services with military honors will be held at 1:30 PM on February 4, 2019 at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
