Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Freddie Hakim Rasheed age 80, passed away on January 1, 2022 in Pascagoula, MS.  His passion for family, life and unfailing work ethic will be remembered with love long after his passing.  He was loved for his kindness, continuous smile and stately walk.  He will be missed dearly by all who have been touched by his warmth.

Fred ~ an Attorney/Consultant to hundreds, a mentor to many and a friend to all.  He was born in July of 1941 in Kansas City, MO to the late Fred L. and Wanda Marie Greene.  At the age of 9, his family moved to Jersey City, NJ.  Fred was educated at Synder High School, and Rutgers University School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate Degree.  He was wise beyond his education, and people from personal to businesses in life sought his advice and benefited from counsel.

Fred will be forever remembered by his adoring wife, caregiver and “Best Friend”, Shelia, and their loving children, Michael Greene, East Orange, NJ; Lisa Greene, Marietta, GA; LaTaya (Troy Sr.) Cobb, of Pascagoula, MS; and Jason Armstead, of Moss Point, MS;  His grandchildren, Amanda Greene, Troy Cobb, Jr., Jordan Cobb, Kamaryn Simmons, Triniti Simmons, and Jaslyn Armstead;  great-grandchildren, Malachi Hakim Greene, Khaliya Greene, Cortezia Greene, Talen Cobb and Kyler Cobb;  his mother-in-law, Ms. Lula Perkins, of Moss Point, MS; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Charles) Cunningham, of Moss Point, MS; and Delisa (Earl) Brown of Gautier, MS.; Godson Chad Holland of West Orange, NJ., and his Goddaughter, Kennedi (“Binky” as he lovingly called her) Perkins, of Gautier, MS and devoted cousin/sister, Mary Mitchell of Lompoc, CA; and his devoted friends, George Ray, of Gautier, MS, Moses Brewer of Aurora, CO., and Karriem Abdallah, of Newark, NJ.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service at The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. in West Jackson County.  U. S. Air Force Honors will be rendered at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi immediately following the service.
