F. Wayne McMurtry, age 65, resident of Gulfport, died, July 13, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. McMurtry, was born in Kentucky. Mr. McMurtry was a extreme auto enthusiast, he loved autoracing, drag racing, loved to read and was a crossword puzzle junkie. He was a previous bowler in Coast leagues. Mr. McMurtry worked a NAPA for many years where he retired.
Mr. McMurtry was preceded in death by his parents, John S. and Juanita Gibbs McMurtry.
He is survived by his children, Deborah Green and husband Steve of Sarasota, FL, David McMurtry and wife of Bonnie of Saucier, MS and Dennis McMurtry and wife Carol of Slidell, LA; brothers, Dale McMurtry of Saucier and Roger McMurtry of Roger, AR; sisters, Marthat St. Romaine of Ft. Walton, FL and Kay Norby of Garland, TX; grandchildren, Kelli Green, Joe Pol, Jeremy Pol, Megan McMurtry, Connor McMurtry and Shelby McMurtry and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, July 16, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY'S Riemann Funeral Homes, 11213 Hwy 49, Gulfport. Services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Saucier Cemetery.
