Fred B. Rettig, III, age 46, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. Rettig was born in Gulfport where he was a lifetime resident. He was in law enforcement, serving on the Long Beach and Gulfport Police Departments. He also served as Director of Security for a local, private security firm. After law enforcement, he entered """"lawn"""" enforcement, and opened his lawn care business.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred B. Rettig, Jr.; and a sister, Linda Brown.
He is survived by his mother, June C. Rettig of Gulfport; niece, Angela Papania and her husband, Leonard of Gulfport.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, at 2:00 p.m., where friends may visit one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at MS City Cemetery.
