MSgt. Franklin LeRoy Lewis (USAF – Retired), age 91, passed away on August 25th 2024 in Saucier, Mississippi. 

He was born on June 22, 1933 in Smith County, Kansas to Johnny Raymond Lewis and Chloe Gardner Lewis and joined the United States Air Force in 1955. He became an Air Traffic Controller, served bravely for 23 years, receiving the Bronze Star during his time in the Vietnam War, and retired as Master Sergeant. 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Denota Chaffey Lewis; daughter, (Elizabeth Tootle); son-in-law, Christopher Dronet; grandson, Paul; parents, Johnny Raymond Lewis and Chloe Gardner Lewis; and two brothers, Donald Lewis and Ormal (Norma) Lewis. 

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Theresa Ann Skiados Lewis, and her children Anthony and Angie; three daughters, Sharon Beaugez (Timothy), Karen Dronet, and Sandra Brant (Alan); grandchildren, Daniel (Chivalry), Curtis, Michelle (JaDon), Carissa (Charlie), Samantha and Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Brianna, Chloe, Julian, Toren, Kaden, Leilon, Alstun, Aryiana, Jeremiah, Sophia, Shayla, Gage, Ryder, and Alexis. 

Family and friends will gather to remember Frank on Thursday, August 29th from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Rd. Biloxi, MS. Graveside services with military honors will follow at 1:30 at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS.
