Frankie Strahan Stegner was carried to Heaven by angels on April 9, 2010.
She was born November 10, 1924 in Poplarville, MS to Rufus and Esther Strahan. Frankie finished High School at PRC. Frankie was employed at the county courthouse and Gulfport Field where she met and married Durland """"Joe"""" Stegner in 1947 on her birthday. Frankie worked for Sears in Chicago and Gulfport for 32 years. Frankie belonged to UDC and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lyman where she had a large and loving church family. Frankie was known for her sweet smile for everyone and was blessed with a great gift of laughter.
Frankie was preceded in death by her husband, Durland """"Joe"""" Stegner; her parents, Rufus and Esther Strahan; two sisters, Fay Nell Creel and Joyce Miller; and four brothers, Bernard Strahan, Farrell Strahan, Ray Strahan, and Haschal Strahan.
Frankie is survived by one sister, Rosemary Loe; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 3 to 5 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Hwy 49, Gulfport.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, April 12, 2010 at 10 am in the funeral home chapel at the Hwy 49 location.
A Graveside service will follow the celebration at 12 Noon at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery, Poplarville, MS.
