Frankie Allen Harrison age 75, passed away on July 2, 2020 in Singing River Hospital in Ocean Springs.
A native of Philadelphia, MS and longtime resident of Ocean Springs, Frankie attended the University of Southern MS, and Millsap’s College. He will be remembered most for his Interior Design and High End Fabric and Wallcovering Companies that along with his partner, best friend and husband, as of 2017, Frank Sharpe Welch, (aka, red socks), they built together. “The Franks” were well known in the whole sale market and fabric houses from New Mexico, all the way to the Florida Panhandle and from Tennessee throughout the MS Gulf Coast as well as many other parts of the country.
Frankie loved baking, making candies and watching old English movies. He thrived on traveling and meeting different types of people and it showed in the love he shared with them all. He enjoyed going to and hosting parties, loved watching rugby, but most of all he loved his best friend and husband Frank. They were together 35 years before they married.
Frankie was preceded in death by his daughter, Elise Harrison; and his parents, Lenora Crocker and Benjamin Charlie Harrison.
Along with husband Frank Sharpe Welch, he leaves behind to cherish memories, a brother, Charley Harrison (Sinna); his sister, Marlene Brown; and his brother, Perry Harrison; numerous dear friends and relatives.
