Frank E. Robinson, 88, of Woolmarket, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021, in Gulfport.
Mr. Robinson was born February 10, 1933, in Woolmarket to Oren and Daisy Robinson. In 1952, he graduated from Woolmarket Consolidated High School. He served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Upon returning home, he was employed by Western Electric and traveled Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama, installing telephone offices. During this time, he married Dorothy C. Richard of the Lorraine Community on November 24, 1955. In 1957, he hired on at Keesler Air Force Base in the 2052nd Communications Squadron and retired from there as shop foreman in 1996.
Dad was an excellent “Shade Tree” mechanic and for many years worked nights and weekends maintaining loyal customers cars. When computers replaced points and condensers, he started restoring and selling 8N Ford tractors.
Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy C. Robinson; his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his children, Angela Slade of Woolmarket and Frank E. “Robby” Robinson, Jr. of Houston, Texas; his sister-in-law, Betty J. McQueen of Waveland; and a sister.
Private graveside services were held for the family where Mr. Robinson was laid to rest at Coalville Cemetery in Woolmarket. Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport is serving the family. The online guestbook may be signed, and memories shared at www.riemannfamily.com
