Frank Roberts, age 78, resident of Biloxi, was tragically taken from his loving family and friends on Thursday, October 30, 2008, in Biloxi.
Mr. Roberts was born in Chicago, IL and served his country for 22 years in the United States Air Force, serving in Korea, earning multiple decorations and retiring as SMSgt. He became a well known contractor and developer on the Coast. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling. Mr. Roberts built the last house he lived in before Katrina destroyed it. He loved performing on the dance floor, and his life was surrounded by family. He enjoyed spending his time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He truly loved life, people, and was always ready to help others.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jerry Roberts of Biloxi; children, David and his wife Carol of IN, Kevin and his wife Karla of Dade City, FL, and Mickey and her husband Byron of Gulfport; grandchildren, Kimberley, Shauna, Chad, Amber, Melissa, Maggie, Chase, and Hannah; 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2008, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in the parish hall, East Taylor Rd., Gulfport, where friends may visit from 10-11:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 am in the church sanctuary.
Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Brooks Hubbert, Byron Banks, Chad Roberts, Steve Hutsell, Terry Duvall, and Chase Banks. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Smith, Rick Rotundo, Javan Grant, James Blackwell, and John Haasath.
