Frank Palisi, Jr.

Frank Joseph Palisi, Jr., age 80, of Diamondhead, passed away on July 18, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank J. Palisi, Sr; his mother, Hazel Palisi; 3 younger brothers, Sidney, Joseph "Joey" and Antonio "Tony."

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Maureen C. Palisi; his children, Tina M. Palisi, Frank J. Palisi, III, and Dominic A. Palisi, I; 2 sisters-in-law, Barbara Palisi and Kathleen Palisi; special cousins, Alexis B. Rupp and Gerald Maronge; grandchildren, Dominic "Nicky" Palisi, II, Alyssa Palisi, Olivia Palisi, and Angelina Palisi; and Frank leaves behind many loving nephews, nieces and cousins who always meant so much more. Frank was "everybody's "Bubba" or "PopPop."

Frank was a native of New Orleans, LA (Algiers) and had been a resident of Diamondhead since 2012. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1958-1961 and later received his associates degree from Delgado Community College. He retired in 1989 as a Captain with the New Orleans Fire Department. In his early years, Frank enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing, and softball. He especially enjoyed chasing grandkids all over--never passing up a good game of 4-square. He was also an avid poker fan and player. He took great pride in classic car restorations, and he was an original Cruising The Coast participant and remained active in 22 of the 24 years of the yearly event.

A prayer service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian. Friends may visit from 10 - 11 am in the funeral home chapel.
