Frank James Jones, age 92, of Gulfport, MS passed away at his home on February 3, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born in Gadsden, Alabama to James Ruben and Elizabeth Gertrude (Lane) Jones. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Francis Adams from Graham, NC and his daughter Donna Lynn Mays from Greensboro, NC. 

Frank moved to Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, MS shortly after the passing of his wife Betty. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant after 22 years of service to his country. While serving he was in the Jag 4. 

Frank leaves his cherished memories to his sons Barry Jones (Michal) of LaFayette, GA and James Russell “Rusty” Jones (Karla) of Cape Coral, FL; son-in-law Ronnie Mayo of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren Christopher Mayo (Katie), Lela Rhoads (Garrett), Caleb Jones, Micah Jones (Laney), Nathanael Jones, Lydia Jone, Ethan Jones, Charley Simmons (Michael) Lindsey Jones (Mal Broadnax); seven great grandchildren. 

Frank will be cremated and a graveside service will be held 10:00 am February 17, 2025 at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Frank’s honor to Armed Forces Retirement Home Residents Fund, 1800 Beach Drive, Gulfport, MS 39507.
