MSgt Frank Harold Denham, Jr., USAF, ret., age 75, and a resident of D'Iberville, died Sunday, June 27, 2010 in Biloxi.
MSgt Denham retired from the U. S. Air Force with 21 years of honorable service, and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from the VA Medical Center in 1994, where he worked 16 years in Biomedical Engineering. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was a HAM radio operator, W5FD, and was Mississippi State MARS Director for several years. Mr. Denham was also a member of Magnolia Lodge 122, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of VFW Post 6731 in D'Iberville, and an NRA member. His many contributions to the community will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ona Fairchild; step-father, Hugh Fairchild; father, Frank Denham,; and step-mother, Nell Denham.
MSgt Denham is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sandy Denham, of D'Iberville; his children, Richard Denham, and his wife Anita, of Biloxi, and Donna Buttermore, and husband Len, of Crestview, FL; his brothers, J. D. Denham of Jackson, MS, Ronnie Denham, and wife Judy, of Columbia, SC; sister: Sandra Roberts, and husband Terry, also of Columbia, SC; his four grandchildren, Cheryl Still, Jennifer Denham, Paige Denham, and Ashleigh Buttermore; and three great-grandchildren.
MSgt Denham will be buried with full military honors at a Graveside Service at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
