Francis “Eugene” Necaise, age 74, of Pass Christian, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 23, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Colestus Necaise; a brother, Thomas “Buddy” Necaise; 2 sisters, Mary Evelyn Necaise and Patricia Ann Woods; a sister-in-law, Donna Marie Necaise; and 2 brothers-in-law, Sonny Necaise and Jay O’Shields.
He is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Vicky Lyons Necaise; 2 sons, Chevis (Debi) Necaise and Derek (Amy) Necaise; 2 step-children, Heather Brown and Timothy Brown; 2 siblings, Earline O’Shields and Robert Necaise; 3 grandchildren, Dalton Necaise, Jodi (Alan) Sykes and Kyle (Bruce) Nix; 7 great-grandchildren, Eli Christopherson, Braxton Dewitt, Tipper Dewitt, Britt Dewitt, Ariel (Dusty) Griffith, Jonathan Sykes, and Gabby Nix; and he was Uncle Gene to many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
Eugene was a lifelong resident of Pass Christian and was a 1965 graduate of Pass Christian High School. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Reserves during the Vietnam War. He was a retired contract worker at John C. Stennis Space Center and was the founder and CEO of Necaise and Company.
Eugene could always be found at the barn, in the field, or on a horse. He enjoyed his time in the saddle, team penning, barrel racing, and trail riding. He touched many lives through his life long love of horses. Until we meet again Ralphy Boy!
The family would like to thank Notre Dame Hospice and Ochsner/Singing River ICU and Respiratory Therapy for their care.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from 6 - 9 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Rd, Pass Christian. The funeral service will be at 10 am Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
