Frances Harris

Frances L. Harris, age 84, and a longtime resident of Gulfport, died on Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Select Specialty in Gulfport, after a long illness. She was born on Spetember 19, 1923 in Lumberton, MS.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley & Ludie Roberts; her two sons, James R. Gill & John F. Gill; two brothers, James R. Roberts of Gulfport and John D. Roberts of Biloxi; two sisters, Mary Roberts of Gulfport and Anna Woodcock of Long Beach.
She is survived by her husband, Robert P. Harris, Sr. of Gulfport; her daughter, Velma (Gordon) Willis of Dixon, IL; her sisters, Mildred (Ronnie) Krohn and Edna Mae (W.M.) Krohn and Laura Cain, all of Biloxi, Alice Nell (Neil) Rushing of Bogalusa, LA, and Sarah (Bobby) Barnes of Long Beach; her brother, Tommy (Jeanie) Roberts of Killeen, TX; seven grandchildren, Kevin Willis, Kimberly Altenberg, John Willis, James R. Gill, Jr., Renee Kirschenbaum, Tammy Gill, and Lisa May and ten great-grandchildren, Brandon Willis, Ashley Willis, Jonah Willis, Justice Willis, Grace Willis, Ruby Altenberg, Jacob Kirschenbaum, Aaron Gill, Angel Kelly, and Justin May.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 11:00am at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
