Ford Lucas Allen, 75, of Pineville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, August 17, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Allen was a native and lifelong resident of Long Beach/Pineville Community and he retired form the CB Base after 20 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army and he loved racing and fishing. Mr. Allen was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Monroe and Ethel Bond Allen, grandson, Jeremy Lee Allen, 1 brother, Wallace Lee """"Nig"""" Allen, 2 sisters, Louise Sample and Millie Ladner.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Lela Ann Shirley Allen, his children, Wallace C. Allen and Melinda G. Allen, all of Pineville, 1 brother, Herman (Joyce) Allen, Vidor, TX, 2 sisters, Jean (Sonny) Walters, Long Beach, and Katherine (Billy) Phelps, Pass Christian, 3 grandchildren, Christa (Wayne) Sperko, Ocean Springs, Terra Allen, Josh Allen, both of Pineville, 4 great-grandchildren, Cassie Sperko, Tyler Stephens, Hayden Allen, and Christian Sperko, 15 nieces and 16 nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, August 20, 2007 from 6 - 9 pm at THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49 N, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 10:30 am in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Allen Cemetery, Long Beach.
