Flossie Pearl Rutan, age 90 of Biloxi, passed away on June 21, 2012.
She was born at Pleasant Ridge near Cameron, WV on January 12, 1922, the youngest child of Elza A. and Florence V. (Richmond) Rutan. She resided in Moundsville WV prior to moving to Biloxi 25 years ago. She attended Bay Vista Baptist Church, and was a caring Christian friend, parent, and grandparent. She enjoyed art, music, cooking, sewing, and quilting. She loved the Lord, her family and friends, and her doctors, nurses, aides and caretakers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and seven sisters. She is survived by her children, Betty L. Hardman (F.R. ""Russ"") of Biloxi, Albert R. Blake, Jr. (Brenda) of St. Augustine FL, Richard D. Blake (Eileen) of Triadelphia WV, and Donald R. Blake (Theresa) of Moundsville, WV, seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Moundsville, WV at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Association.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi, assisted the family with arrangements.
