Florence McCullough

Florence McCullough, known as Flo, passed away and into the arms of our Lord and Savior on September 30, 2018, at the age of 92.  A lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, she loved life, as well as family.  She cherished time spent with each of her family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie McCullough; her son, Steven McCullough; her mother, Velma Boyd Smandra; her father, George Boyd; and her sister, Joyce Thomas.
Flo leaves behind a son, Michael McCullough (Sherri); her grandson, Michael McCullough, Jr.; her brother, Nate Boyd; her step grandchildren, Gabe Porter, Matthew Blackwood, and Robert Blackwood; 5 great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Flo McCullough enjoyed a full life as a Registered Nurse, having worked for Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS, and Copeland Hospital in Jackson, MS, until her children were born.
She was an active member of the Grace Memorial Baptist Church, and taught Sunday School.  She was also a member of PS Dodge Scholarship Program.  She served as a PTA officer of every school her children ever attended.  She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #51, along with the Gulfport VFW Auxiliary 2539.  Until retirement, Flo worked as a bookkeeper for Southern Tire Sales, which was owned by her family.  She loved to fish with Willie, the love of HER life.  Together, THEY WERE MARRIED for 66 years.

Visitation for friends and family will be held from 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2018, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS.  The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018, at 10:00 AM, at the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
