Florence Emilie “Nanny” Favre, age 90, of Saucier, passed away on February 21, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Beauregard Favre; her parents, Frank Settera and Emilie Myrtle Nelson Settera; and 2 brothers, Raymond “Bud” Settera and John Settera.
She is survived by her children, Bob (Margie) Favre, Richard (Mary) Favre, Susan (Billy) Peleaz, Donna (Bob) Sund, and Linda (William) Weitters; 10 grandchildren, Christopher (Carrie) Favre, Thomas Favre, Steven (Tammy) Favre, Daniel (LaToya) Favre, Stacey Favre, Matthew (Brooke) Peleaz, Andrew (Marissa) Peleaz, Gregory (April) Peleaz, Patrick (Alexandra) Barnhill, and Nicholas Barnhill; 14 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother and adored Nana. Her home was always open to everyone. She loved being surrounded by her family and always put her family first and especially enjoyed her family gatherings. Mrs. Favre enjoyed the simple things in life – being outside working in her yard, sewing, and crocheting. The family would like to express thanks for the love and care that was given to mom by those who cared for her especially Amanda, Tressie, Summer, Sarah, Denise, and the members of the Southern Care Hospice team. Mrs. Favre was a devoted member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lizana.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 26, 2021, from 10:30 – 11:30 am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lizana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am in the church. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lizana.
