Mrs. Florence G. Bartels, age 78, resident of Long Beach, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010.
Mrs. Bartels was born in NY, NY, to the late Felix and Georgia Schlinger Doyle in 1931. After high school, she married Raymond W. Bartels from NJ and started her family. She was a homemaker and a resident of Long Beach since 1979. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her sister.
She is survived by three children, Helena Duncan of Long Beach, Raymond Bartels, Jr. of Saucier, Victoria DeMarco of North Bergen, NJ; ten grandchildren, Patrick DeMarco, Scott Brand, Raymond Bartels III, Christopher Bartels, Erica Bartels, Jessica Biscamp, Samantha Biscamp, Tommy Duncan, Jr., Kimberly Duncan, Loralei Duncan; eight great grandchildren, Autumn, Tyler, and Nolan Bartels, Sydney, Griffin, and Chloe Brand, and Damon and Cora Fulton; brother, Robert Doyle of CA; brother-in-law, Roy Bartels of FL and his daughter, Roseanne Bartels of FL.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, where friends may visit from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
