Ferrall James Ladner, age 77, of Long Beach, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mr. Ladner was a native of the Kiln and lived most of his life on the coast. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a retired carpenter. Mr. Ladner loved contesting and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Izetta Ladner; 2 brothers: Winton J. Ladner and Murthon A. Ladner; a sister, Alfreda Ladner Monus; and a grandson, Jared Houston.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jean S. Ladner; his children: Deborah Houston (David Barnett), Roberta Ramirez (Vince), Gregory F. (Lori LaRosa) Ladner, JoAnne (Johnny) Lackey, Michael (Addie) Ladner, and Steve (Martha) Ladner; his siblings: Irma (Charles) Reese, Sylvia A. (Myron) Proctor, Vernita A. (Roger) Mountain, Betty Jo Ames, Tecia (A.J.) Ladner, Pat (Betty) Ladner, Chlaford Ladner, and Janice (Billy) Dedeaux; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6-9 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Sunday at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Interment will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
