Fern White

Fern Hazel White, age 88, passed away on September 6, 2022 in Vancleave, MS.

She was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She was raised in Pass Christian and attended Pineville School. She has been a resident of Vancleave for the last 72 years. She was a very Godly woman and a member of Bonnie Chapel United Methodist Church in Vancleave.

She is preceded in death by her husband Alton “Pinch” White Sr.; parents, William Wirt Harshbarger and Gladys Young Harshbarger; brothers, Leo Harshbarger, William “Bill” Harshbarger, Lewis “Pete” Harshbarger; and sister, Bettie White.

Survivors include four sons, Alton White II (Sissy) of Vancleave, Brooks White (Rhonda) of Vancleave, William “Tom” White (Laura) of Clinton, Wayne White (Melissa) of Vancleave; grandchildren, Brandon White, Robert White, Aaron White (Katrina), Kristen Daughdrill (Brad), Dana White, Brittany White, Laura Maria Campbell; great-grandchildren, Addison Daughdrill, Zoey White, Addison Thompson, Aubrey Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00 am, with visitation starting at 9:30 am at Bonnie Chapel United Methodist Church, Wire Road, Vancleave, MS. Burial will follow at White Family Cemetery, 21201 White Rd. Vancleave, MS.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bonnie Chapel United Methodist Church.
