Mrs. Fern Holliman Ladner Ford, age 82 and a resident of Wiggins, died on Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Wiggins.
Mrs. Ford was a native and lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She was a member of Crossroads Mennonite Church, and attended Temple Baptist Church in Gulfport. Mrs. Ford was owner/operator of several businesses in Gulfport over the years, including the Three Rivers Quick Stop in Gulfport. She was currently employed as a real estate agent with Bonnie Broadus in Saucier. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Hattiesburg Hematology and Oncology Clinic, Wesley Home Health, and Forest General Hospice.
Mrs. Ford is preceded in death by her parents, Loren & Bessie Davis Holliman; her first husband of 37 years, Pascal """"Pat"""" Ladner, and her granddaughter, Angel Renee Ladner.
She is survived by her daughters, Gina (Donald) Ladner of Pass Christian and Tracy Ladner (Michael) Hurt of Gulfport; her brother, Charles Edward (Rebecca) Holliman of Hattiesburg; her grandchildren, John A. (Brynia) Ladner of Necaise, Penni A. Ladner of Pass Christian, Ashly Hurt and Bryan Hurt both of Gulfport; her great grandchild, Branyn Waltman of Necaise; her nephew, Clay Holliman of Hattiesburg; her niece, Denise Crosby of Welling, OK and her feline companion, Coco.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Carnes Cemetery in Carnes, MS.
