Fay Harroun, 92 of Diamondhead, MS passed away on March 21, 2024 at the St. Joseph Hospice House. He was born on December 9, 1931 in Reynolds, Illinois to the late Jesse Keith Harroun & Vesta Gorman Harroun. Fay is preceded in death by his parents; first wife Elizabeth Harroun; sisters, Doris Tindell, and Shirley Bateman; and brother, Wendall Harroun.
Fay enjoyed playing golf and being on the golf course. He also enjoyed bowling, and was an avid sports fan watching football and basketball. Fay loved to talk about planes and flying, and was very knowledgeable of all types of planes and aircrafts.
Fay graduated High School in Illinois and went to College. After a few years in College he decided to join the United States Airforce and enlisted for 5 years as a Pilot. After, the five years with the Air Force, Fay went back to college to finish his degree at Indiana State University. After graduation he moved his family and started his career in California and resided there for 40 years. Fay then moved to Florida for a brief stay, but during a Mardi Gras Ball in Diamondhead he met his love and companion Rochelle. Together they got married and decided to settle in Diamondhead where they have resided for last 20 years. Fay was an outgoing and loving person, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Fay is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Rochelle Harroun; sons, Marc (Kimberly) Harroun, and David (Linda) Harroun; granddaughter, Taylor Harroun; step children, Colleen (Walter) Walker, Bruce (Angie) Buchanan, and Brett (Stephanie) Buchanan; step grandchildren, Andrew, Brian, Emily, Ashley, Jack, and Lucas. Fay also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
