Mrs. Evelyn Louise Rogers, age 88, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Rogers was born in Etowah, TN to the late John and Minnie Savage Pulliam. She attended Family Worship Center and was a seamstress for M. Salloum Toggery, Carter Menswear, and Warr's in Gulfport. Some of her favorite pasttimes were playing BINGO and slot machines.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Rogers; parents; two brothers and 4 sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Boyd of Gulfport; son, Robert Rogers of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren, Lynn Moran and husband Jimmy, Robin Hays and husband Robby, Malcolm Simmons, and David Simmons; 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49 North, Gulfport, where friends may call from Noon until 2 pm. Services will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Long Beach City Cemetery.
