Evelyn ""Earline"" Thomas Hudson, age 76, of Saucier, departed this world peacefully to begin a new life on February 8, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ether and Ella Thomas; three sisters, Naomi, Thelma, and Ruth; and six brothers, George, James, Russell, Lawrence, Douglas, and Sherman Thomas.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Carlos ""Tot"" L. Hudson, Sr of Saucier; her children, Darlene Husley of Saucier, Kay Hudson of Saucier, who dedicated her life caring for her parents and family, Nancy King (Bruce) of Gulfport, Carlos L. Hudson, Jr (Kathy) of Saucier, and Gary Hudson of Mobile, AL; her brother, Eugene Thomas of Ocean Springs; her grandchildren, Vince Husley (Casey), Chris Husley, Daniel Husley, Tammy Fonte (Joseph), Jason King, Meagan Cobb (Brady), and Katie Hudson; five great grandchildren and one expectant great grandchild; and her special friend, Allita Gartman.
She was a member of Success Baptist Church, Saucier. Living through her children, she was a special, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to fish and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
The family wishes to send a special thanks to the Oncology nurses and staff at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport for their care and compassion for Earline.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Success Baptist Church, Saucier with a visitation beginning at Noon. Burial will follow at Success Baptist Church Cemetery.
