Evelyn Hayden

January 9, 1926 — September 20, 2010

Evelyn Albrecht Hayden of Perkinston, born January 9, 1926, in Lyons, NY has gone home to be with the Lord on September 20, 2010.
Mrs. Hayden was a good and hard working woman, willing to help in times of need.
She loved to quilt and go bargain hunting. She was a very busy woman. She worked in the egg business for many years, and then with her husband John. They raised pigs and cows and she had her own business raising bean sprouts for salad bars all over the coast.
So now it is her time to rest. We get the comfort of knowing she is at peace, and wrapped in the love of our Savior Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Hayden was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Caroline Albrecht, of Lyons, NY; her sister, Esther Wilkes; three brothers, Ray, Les and Stan Albrecht all of up state NY; two husbands, John D. Hayden of Perkinston; and Joe Spratly of Ocean Springs; and one step-daughter, Patricia Hayden of NC.
Survivors include her two daughters, Darlene Kittell of Ocean Springs, Brenda Spratly of Perkinston; two step-daughters, Suzanne KoFoid and her husband Al of AR, Beth Rose and her husband Jay of ND; two sons, Larry Jo Spratly of Ocean Springs; and Billy Spratley of Perkinston; two brothers, Richard and Morris Albrecht of NY; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends whom she loved dearly.
There will be a celebration of her life on October 2, 2010, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at 1114 Ridge Rd., Perkinston, MS 39573. Pastor White from United Methodist Church of Wiggins will say a few words and bless the people and food.
