Evelyn Bailey

Evelyn Boudreaux Bailey, age 89 of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020.  She was formerly of Gretna, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her father, Delmar Boudreaux, Sr.; her mother, Viola Babin Boudreaux; her brother, Delmar Boudreaux, Jr.; and her sisters, Betty B. Palmer, Gail B. Barcelona, and Lorraine B. Johnson.

Evelyn is survived by her sister, Sandra B. Pruitt; 11 nieces and nephews; 18 great nieces and nephews; and 21 great great nieces and nephews.

She was a long time parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Gretna, LA and for the last 6 years, she has been with St. Joseph Church in Gulfport, MS.

The family would like to thank the Gulfport Care Center staff and Kare-in-Home staff for the great care and patience given to Evelyn and our family during her stay at the center.

We would also like to thank St. Joseph Church, Fr. Uko, Deacon Karl, and all the volunteers that visited Evelyn weekly.  She really enjoyed your company.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2020, at St. Joseph Church, Gretna, LA.  An interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
