Mrs. Eva Mae Cuevas Necaise, age 78, resident of Pass Christian, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009.
She was a lifelong resident of the Coast. Mrs. Cuevas was born to the late Albert and Rachael Deschamp Cuevas in 1931. She enjoyed playing BINGO with family and friends and gardening. She retired from being a seamstress at Stuffed Shirt Pass Christian Industries.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Elena Head, Elsie Cuevas, and Alphonsene Saucier; her brothers, Oliver, Robert, Horton, and Donivan Cuevas; father and mother-in-law, Lebaise and Vernelia Necaise, daughter-in-law, Julie Necaise, grandson-in-law, Randy Necaise, brothers-in-law, R.D. and Ezell Necaise.
She is survived by her husband, Jarell Necaise; children, Jerry (Joy) Necaise, Diane (Talmadge) Cook, David aÌâÅCoonaÌâ (Becky) Necaise, and Belinda (Ronald) Rodgers; sisters, Mattie Mae Ladner; brothers, Holliman Joe Cuevas, John Dorty Cuevas, Barney Cuevas; sister-in-law, Helen Necaise; grandchildren, Julie (Kevin) Mauffray, Jessica (Fabian) Ladner, Jessie (Ashley) Peterson, Jr., Chase and Doug Cook, Gage and Jettie Necaise, and Toby Necaise; step grandchildren, Tony (Michelle) Givatella, Melissa (Ben) Curet, Tina Ramon; great grandchild, Paige Ladner, and several step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road, where friends may visit from 5-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
