Eva Allison Johnson passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in Bay St. Louis, MS at the age of 56 surrounded by family. She was born in El Paso, TX on November 10, 1967, the second of thirteen children, living most of her childhood in Texas. She later moved with her family to Waveland, MS where she graduated from Bay Senior High School in 1986.
Allison was always nurturing and kind, looking out for and caring for her younger siblings, nieces, and nephews. Animals flocked to her loving spirit, as she often walked the neighborhood looking for strays. She enjoyed painting and music, writing her own lyrics, and singing in choirs. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, received her Young Womanhood Recognition medallion, and continued to serve at church and in the temple. She had a lifelong love of learning and had an incredible memory. She loved being around people, socializing with friends and family, and was ever-present at family gatherings.
Allison is preceded in death by her father, Alvin Donith Johnson and survived by her mother, Edith Elaine Ladner, and siblings Michelle LaCour (Lance), Don Johnson, Jr. (Yvonne), Jennifer Cass (Roger), Jessica Lewis (Matt), Megan McCardle (Tim), Ross Johnson (Tamara), Seth Johnson (Kelsey), Liz Muttschall (Brian), Skip Ladner (Cat), Paige Coward (Chris), Brad Ladner (Hebra), Ashley Bourgeois (Gene), and many nieces and nephews.
Allison has returned home to her Father in Heaven to be with her eternal family members and beloved kitty-cats. Her family wishes to thank her doctors, caregivers, and ministering church family who have served and shown compassion to her throughout her life. They take comfort in knowing Families are Forever and that they will be with her again.
Visitation for Allison will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints at 1911 McLaurin St., Waveland, MS. Her memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by interment at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
