Eva Fey Newport Albertson

November 27, 1931 — February 13, 2012

Eva Fey Newport Albertson, 80, of Biloxi, died Monday, February 13, 2012. She was the second child of George William and Vernah Scott Newport of Washington, DC, and was born in Washington on November 27, 1931. She married Frank J. Albertson, Jr., her husband of 54 years, in Washington on November 4, 1950. They had four children, and she was a loving wife and mother. The family lived in DC, Mississippi, Louisiana, Maryland, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Florida, returning to Mississippi in 1972. Her husband retired from the Air Force at Keesler AFB. She worked for many years at Gayfers, which later became Dillard's. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; three of her children, Linda Diane, Frank James III, and Laura Elizabeth Albertson; her parents; and two of her siblings, Emilie Gordon and John Newport.
She is survived by her son, Bill Albertson of Biloxi; her sister, Vernah Williams of Clovis, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service on Monday, February 20, 2012, at 2:00pm at Bethel Lutheran Church, Pass Road in Biloxi.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at 3:00pm at Green Acres Cemetery in Brewton, AL.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi, is in charge of arrangements.
