Eunice Murray Serio

Eunice Murray Serio, age 92, of Bay St. Louis, MS and formerly from Waveland, MS passed away Thursday April 18, 2024, at Dunbar Village.  

She was born to the late Richard T. and Eunice (Heinrich) Murray in New Orleans, Louisiana. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony “Pee Wee” Serio; son, Tony Serio; and three daughters, Baby Linda, Eunice Serio, and Susie Geoffrey; and brother, Richard Murray Jr. 

Eunice loved going to and attending the parades of the Bay/Waveland area. She was also known as the “Voice” of the Waveland Little League in the 80’s and 90’s. Eunice adored her family and loved them all very much.

She leaves her cherished memories to her children, Linda Gavagnie (Bobby), Tommy Serio (Donna), Ethel Poillion, and Alfred Serio (Rayne); eight grandchildren, Bobby Gavagnie (Robyn), Alicia Siears (Dwight), Jennifer Poillion, Timmy Poillion, James Geoffrey, Dennis Geoffrey, Shelby Necaise (Raygan), and Colby Serio (Miranda); eight great grandchildren, Brody Gavagnie, Avery Siears, Amelie Siears, Alexandra Siears, Landon Scott, Dylan Scott, Mallory Marziale, and Reid Necaise; as well as numerous other family members. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00- 11:00 am Monday April 22, 2024, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 141 Hwy 90, Waveland, MS 39576. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Waveland Cemetery.  

The family wishes to thank the staff of Dunbar Village and Notre Dame Hospice for taking good care of their mother.
