Eugene James McDonald, Sr. passed away on January 21, 2012 in Gulfport, MS. He was born to James and Gwendolyn McDonald on October 18, 1941. They moved to Gulfport in 1944. Eugene attended Gulfport High School. He worked as a truck driver, a firefighter, and a security guard.
Eugene is survived by his two sons, Eugene James McDonald, Jr. (Mindy) of Long Beach, MS and James Thomas McDonald (Kim) of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Kari Clark, Joli Clark, Andrew McDonald, and Jesi McDonald; two great-grandchildren, Dani Clark and Ryli Clark; three sisters, Janis Phelps, Betty Bourque and Carol Phelps; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He recently attended The Way Church in Long Beach, MS, where he was baptized after receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. He will be forever missed.
Services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 1:00 PM at The Way Church in Long Beach, MS, 5574 Gates Ave.
