Eugene David Caylor age, 73, resident of Bay St. Louis, passed away Monday, July 23, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Caylor lived a very full life, traveling the world. In recent years he worked for his own company repairing air conditioning for aircraft carriers of the seven fleet during the Iranian Crisis of the 1980's. He was born in Baxter Springs, KS, grew up in Joplin, MO and settled with his wife and children in Long Beach, MS. He meet his first wife, Juliette Wallace Caylor (mother of his children) at Keesler in 1954, when they married. He served his country in the Korean War and was a charter member of the Long Beach Yacht Club.
Mr. Caylor was preceded in death by his parents, Orleigh and Anna Burns Caylor of Joplin, MO; three brothers, Orland, Leroy and Kenneth; two sisters, Colleen McKnight and Imogene Stratton Robinson Watkin and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Pecarik.
He is survived by his second wife, Julie Eiff Caylor; six children, David Caylor and wife Sherry of Long Beach, Valerie Owenby and husband Ray of Woolmarket, Judy Noble of Saucier, Kathy Farrell and husband Bobby of Gulfport, Robert Caylor and wife Sonya of Gulfport and Michael Caylor and wife Nita of Brandon; three step children, Stephanie Hoops and husband Fred of Biloxi, Tommy Dean of Gulfport and Paul Elliot, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL.; 25 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; three brother, Melvin, Jimmy and Delbert; and two sisters, Ruth and Helen all of Missouri.
