Ethel Elizabeth Skinner, 81 passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 in Chattanooga, TN.
Mrs. Skinner was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church of Gulfport, charter member of the Evening Guild and a Sunday school teacher. She worked with the PTA of the Gulfport School System, volunteered with the March of Dimes and was chairman of many campaigns. She owned Skinner's Auto Supply in Gulfport jointly with her husband.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Octave and Edna Anthaume, her husband, Elver G. Skinner, Jr.; and son, Elver G. Skinner, III.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Edna and Ross Hatcher of Chattanooga, sisters, Ina Seal of Bogalusa, LA, Eileen Rannals of Houston, TX, four grandchildren, William Ross Hatcher of Murfreesboro, TN, Paul Hatcher of Chattanooga, TN, Anna (Scott) Wilson of Southhaven, MS, Matthew (Carolyn) Skinner of Fairfield, CA, six great-grandchildrren, Matthew, Julia, Emma, and John Wilson, Lauren and Katie Skinner.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St Matthew Lutheran Church in Gulfport, where friends may call after 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Gulfport and the Tennessee Chapter of the American Arthritis Association.
