Ethel penny Hughes

Ethel """"Penny"""" Hughes, age 83 and a resident of Biloxi, died on Monday, August 20, 2007 in Gulfport. Ms. Hughes was born in Crossett, Ark. and had been a resident of Biloxi since 1940. She retired from the Army Air Force Exchange as a Manager in 1975. She also was a hostess at the Sugar Mill Marina for several years. She enjoyed traveling and did so until her health failed. She is survived by several nieces and her best friend, Audrey Batia. In order to help her fellow man, Ms. Hughes donated her body to medical science at the University of MS Medical Center. Thanks to the staff of Lakeview Nursing Center for their care and kindness.
