Eron Tootle, age 88 of Hattiesburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in Hattiesburg.
Mr. Tootle was born in Vancleave, MS and received a Masters in Mathematics from Mississippi State University. He was the Principal at Warren Gaston High School, in New Orleans, a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge, and recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Ellen Demetz Tootle. Survivors include his second wife, Patty A. Tootle, of Hattiesburg; and his daughters, Betty Tootle Greenway and Carol Tootle Nesler.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Live Oak Cemetery in Pass Christian. The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, is in charge of the arrangements. An online guestbook may be viewed and signed at www.riemannfamily.com.
