Ernie Olivia Pedersen

Mrs. Ernie Olivia Ball Pedersen, age 68, born April 12, 1944, in Gulfport, MS, to the parents of Gwin R. Ball and Katherine Olivia Rouse. She has lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast all her life. She died September 5, 2012 at M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas after a long battle with cancer. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Otto ""Pete"" Pedersen.
Survivors include her sister, Linda Ware and her husband, Alex; 3 daughters, Misty Adams and her husband, Wayne, of San Antonio, Texas, Stacie DeVries and her husband, Scott, of Nederland, Texas, and Lauren Johnsen of Gulfport, MS; four grandsons, Conner and Garrett DeVries, Zane and Lute Johnsen and two granddaughters Courtney Rose and her husband, Ben, and Aubrie Johnsen.
Ernie had always dreamed of being a nurse because she wanted to help people. In her forties, she went to college and got her degree in nursing. She worked along the MS Gulf Coast as a dialysis nurse.
