Ernest Stanley Cowart lll, better known as Stan, was a truly wonderful friend, brother, father, and grandfather. When he loved, he loved wholeheartedly. He would not hesitate to give to someone in need, even if that meant he would go without. Even in his last days, Stan was able to become a full organ donor to assist numerous people in need for years to come, which was one of his few wishes before he passed. Stan always stayed true to himself no matter others would have thought. He was exceptionally fun, lively, rambunctious at times, headstrong, and consistently cracking jokes. He loved to laugh and make others laugh.
Stan had the benefit of traveling coast to coast within his lifetime, spending the majority of his life in California and Mississippi. He was a man of many hobbies. Among those hobbies were restoring classic Mustangs, cooking for friends and family, and rocking out at concerts. When he wasn’t cooking, you could see him eating out at all of the best restaurants on the coast; Chimney’s being his favorite. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan through it all. Stan also loved to sing. He had a beautiful voice that resonated with everyone who had the privilege of hearing it. Stan was most notably fond of his lifelong friends and family. He cared and loved for a great deal of people. Stan made friends everywhere he went and touched many hearts along the way. He considered his friends family and was a brother to all. He was someone you could always count on to pick you up when you fell and stand up for you when no one else would. His daughter, Destiny, and grandson, Stetson, were the true apples of his eye. He had never been more proud of anything in his life.
Stan told everyone, friends, and strangers alike, of how proud he was of them and how much he loved them. Before his last days, Stan stated that he sincerely felt he had lived a beautifully full filling life and that when the Lord was ready to bring him home, he would be at peace with himself. He knew and loved the Lord and spoke of him often. He is truly missed by many. Forever in our hearts and never forgotten.
