Ernest C. "Ernie" Rhodes

Ernest ""Ernie"" C. Rhodes, III, age 73, of Gulfport, passed away on March 31, 2014 in Gulfport, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest C. Rhodes, Jr. and Iris W. Rhodes; and his uncle Farley Rhodes.
Ernie is survived by his son, Larry (Stacy) Rhodes of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; his sister, Linda (Al) Rhodes Belletto of Metairie, LA; and two grandchildren, Christian Rhodes and Linzay Rhodes.
Ernie was a lifelong resident of MS Gulf Coast, graduating from Gulfport High School and attending the Gulf Coast Military Academy. He served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed fishing and shrimping. Ernie was an active member of Gulfport American Legion, Post 119 and the VFW.
He traveled as an underwater welder, having worked at Marine Life in Gulfport and was one of the two humans that Mother Dolphin allowed in the tank.
He was a loving father and friend to many and will be sadly missed by all.
