Mr. Ernest Ladner, age 77, of Long Beach, passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2021.
Ernest Lee was born in Pass Christian where he lived until he married the love of his life, Sandra Louise, and that marriage of 58 years remained strong. He loved working in construction and he owned his own business. He built many homes including our family’s paradise. He loved fishing, cooking, camping, and being around his family and friends. He loved making others laugh and giving us plenty of advice. His favorite quote was “We have more fun than a barrel of monkeys”.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Ryan and Gregory Ladner; his parents, Curtis Ladner and Carrie Lizana; 2 brothers, Hubert Ladner and Ronnie Ladner; and a sister, Doris Fitzgerald.
He was adored by his children, Angela (Thomas) Lucas, Bryan (Laura) Ladner, and Cynthia (Keith) Dedeaux, and his favorite child and constant companion “Buddy”. His grandchildren were the light of his eye. Brittany (Marcus) Kaszubowski, Allison (Johnathan) Ladner, Brooke (Clint) Ladner, Heather (DeVante) Thomas, Caitlin (Corey) Cuevas, Brennan Ladner, and Drake (Brooke) Hogue. His great-grandchildren could always bring the biggest smile to his face, Koen, Kinley, and Cameron.
Ernest Lee was loved by many extended family and friends. We will all cherish the many memories he has given us. We can only imagine what it will be like to see you again. Cheers to the best husband, dad, and grandfather.
