Ernest Eugene Jordan, age 85, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Born in Pineville, Florida, Ernest spent over 80 years living in Biloxi.
Ernest is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Annetta; sisters, Lillian Jordan, Viaola McCully, Lois Jordan, Louise Williams, Myrtle Taylor, Oscar Jordan & Clarence Jordan; and daughters, Janet Marie and Jillaine Jordan.
Ernest is survived by his daughters, Joyce Marina Graves of Burnsville, MN and her husband Jon, Karen Jean Sinopoli of Biloxi, and her husband Michael, and only son Ernest Eugene Jordan, Jr. of Biloxi. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Heather (Graves) Waterland, and her husband Andrew of Lakeville, MN, Jeremiah Earl Unkel, of South Dakota, Danielle Sinopoli, of Gulfport, and Brooke Jordan, of Biloxi; and great-grandchildren; Alexander, Stella, Blake, Atreyu, and Elric.
Ernest practiced the Episcopal Faith at the Church of Redeemer in Biloxi and later became a member at St. MarkaÌ‚â‚â„¢s Episcopal Church under the direction of the Very Reverend James """"Bo"""" Roberts. The four lights that hang over the alter symbolize the four children Ernest and Annette brought into this world.
At age 17, Ernest joined the Coast Guard, making seaman first class, until he met Annetta in Chelsea, MA. For the next 31 years, he served as a Fireman at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi. He cooked many meals at the station and became known for making cast nets for mullet fishing.
During his retirement, Ernest picked up & delivered food to the Humane Society. He started playing golf at 72, and fished with his son and friends around the MS Gulf waters. Ernest and Annette made many charitable donations to the Boys and Girl Clubs, Veterans of Foreign Wars, The Humane Society of South Mississippi, and many more.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at St. MarkaÌ‚â‚â„¢s, Friday, June 25 at 1:00 pm with a one hour visitation prior to service. Burial will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport, is charge of the arrangements.
