Erma Ladner Pecoul, age 85, passed away October 18, 2007, at her home in Waveland, MS with her loving family around her.
She was born October 24, 1921 in Bay St. Louis, MS. She married her husband on May 8, 1941. They lived most of their life in Metairie, LA before moving to Waveland in 1999.
She is survived by her husband, John Joseph Pecoul, Sr. of 66 years; her son John J. Pecoul, Jr. and his wife Karlyn of Metairie, and her daughter, Kathleen Camp and her husband Charlie of Destrehan, LA; her granddaughters, Meliss Carlson and her husband Steve, Laura Freeman and her husband Jared, Katy Camp, and Kelly Camp; her grandson, Keith Pecoul; her great granddaughter, Layne Carlson; her sisters, Bertha M. Homer of Kiln, MS, Norma Jean Garriga and her husband Dudley, and Elaine Ladner of Waveland. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester """"Ves"""" and Laura Agnes Wainwright Ladner; sister, Helen Ladner; brothers, Ervin, Chester """"Bud,"""" and Vernon Leverl Ladner.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on the corner of Nicholson Avenue and McLaurin Street in Waveland where friends may visit from 10 a.m.-noon.
Funeral services will be held at noon at the church. Burial will follow services at Bayou LaCroix Cemetery.
