Erik Robert Brown III

Erik Robert Brown III, age 51, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Gulfport, MS. Erik was a self-employed auto mechanic, known for his incredible versatility and skill as a jack of all trades. He was also a devoted Star Wars fan.

Erik was cherished by his family and friends, both in person and on the Next Door app, where he was a beloved member and top-seller. His generous spirit was evident to all who knew him; he was always willing to lend a helping hand and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Above all, Erik was a devoted family man.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Erik Robert Brown Jr. and Kelly D. Schmidt, and his twin brother, Johnathan Brown.

Erik is survived by his loving wife of five years, Tonya Brown; his children, David Carter of Boiling Springs, SC, Ashley Nicole Johnson (Anthony) of Gulfport, Skylar Brown of Sarasota, FL, Shi’Ane O’Neill of Ocean Springs, MS, Michael Ross (Lexii) of Sarasota, FL, Josephine Brown of Jonesboro, TN, Britney Brown of Sarasota, FL, and Meiha Brown of Sarasota, FL; his three cherished grandchildren, Hayden, Madi, and Mateo, with another grandchild on the way; his step-father, Scott Hepburn of Bradenton, FL; his step-brother, Anthony Hepburn of Sarasota, FL; and his step-sister, Kat Hadden-Hepburn of Sarasota, FL.

A private service will be held on April 12, 2025, at the family’s residence.
