Emma Jean Simmons

Mrs. Emma Jean Hammack Simmons, resident of Gulfport died on the 16th of May 2012, at the age of 95. She was born on the 18th of September 1916 in Hattiesburg, MS, and was married to the late Ben Simmons, Jr. of Gulfport. Throughout her life, she was dedicated to her husband, her children, and her grandchildren.
Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Simmons, Jr.; parents, Eula Ezell and Walter Glenn Hammack; brother, Walter Hammack; and sister, Bes Hellberg.
She is survived by her son, David Simmons and his wife Sarah of Gulfport; daughter, Susan Lampkin and her husband Scott of McHenry; grandchildren, Sean Simmons and his wife Rachel of Ruston, LA, Matthew Simmons and his fiancé Brenna of Denver, CO, Emma Simmons of Gulfport, Ashley Michelle Lampkin of McHenry; and great grandchildren, Ellen Bailey Simmons, Anna Elise Simmons, and Jack William Simmons all of Ruston, LA.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from ten o'clock in the morning until eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 19th of May 2012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock on Saturday, the 19th of May 2012, in the chapel of the funeral home. Immediately following, the interment will take place at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
