Emily Turner

Mrs. Emily Grace Woodson Turner, age 72 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Saturday, March 24, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Turner was a native of Gulfport and graduated from high school in 1951. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Joel Burwell, Dr. Douglas Lanier and his staff and to Dr. Chelsea Grow.
Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her mother, Frances Landrum Goodson; her father, Fred Goodson; her sisters, Ann Keys and Anita Johnson and her brother, John Goodson.
She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Goodson Shaw and Jo Ann Creel both of Gulfport; her brother, Robert E. Goodson of Gulfport; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; her nephew, Aaron V. Cuevas and her beloved cat, Lucy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, where friends may visit two hours prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Retirement Fund for Religious Sisters c/o St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12290 Depew Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.
