Emile ""Ray"" Craig, Jr., age 69, resident of Long Beach passed away Monday, January 23, 2012.
Ray was born in Gulfport, MS on October 29, 1942. He spent his life working for Emile R. Craig & Sons Construction with his father, Emile R. Craig, Sr. who preceded him in death. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Joppa Shrine Center. He enjoyed his time coaching high school soccer at St. John High School and youth soccer, including the River Rats Soccer Team. He was an avid speckle trout fisherman, who lived to fish and watch his children and grandchildren play softball and soccer.
He is survived by his wife, Bea Craig; his mother, Mable Craig of Gulfport; his children, Wendy Hill, Brent Craig, Nikki Craig Beets, and Emile R. Craig, III; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Pat Naylor, Sandi Elmore, and Frank Craig.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, January 26, 2012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, immediately following the visitation in the funeral home chapel.
