Emery L. Pavolini, Sr., 84, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010, in Gulfport.
He was a veteran of World War II where he was deployed on the naval ship USS Kitkun Bay. He made his home in Pass Christian where he was a commercial fisherman until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Elizabeth Dubuisson Pavolini, numerous brothers and sisters, and a son, Rusty Pavolini.
Emery is survived by sons, Emery, Jr. (Lois) Pavolini; Randy Pavolini, all of DeLisle, MS; Timothy (Katherine) Pavolini, of Franklinton, LA; and a daughter, Kennyetta (Kelly) Maynard, of Picayune, MS; grandchildren, Seth Pavolini, Jacinda (Timothy) Chapman, Wendy Tillman, Sunnie Stewart, Kelly Maynard, Jr., and Megan Pavolini; and great-grandchildren, Braxton and Destinee Pavolini, Landon and Jadynn Chapman, and Jaci Tillman; and a sister, Sylvia Patton; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln-DeLisle Road in Pass Christian on Friday, February 12, 2010, from 12:00 noon until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the New DeLisle Cemetery in Pass Christian.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Emery Pavolini, Sr., and in honor of Landon Chapman.
