Elmer J. Saucier , age 84, of Lizana passed away June 29, 2012 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents ,Victor Saucier and Florentine Ladner Saucier; his wife, Virtie Ladner Saucier; his brother, Edward Saucier; and a grandson, Heath Saucier.
He is survived by his children, Garland Saucier (Diane) and Kenny Saucier, both of Lizana, Faye Garriga (Bill) of Pearl, MS, Elroy Saucier (Kay) of Lyman, and Laronda Warden (Tim) of McHenry; his grandchildren, Keith Saucier, Marcie McKnight, Brian Saucier, Vick Saucier, Shelley Saucier, Joy Garriga, Brent Garriga, Kyle Saucier, Brandy Williams, and Randy Warden; and thirteen great grandchildren.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired from the VA Hospital in Gulfport after 33 years of service. He was a member of St Ann Catholic Church, Lizana and an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49, Gulfport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, Lizana with a visitation from 9:00 AM until the Mass. Burial with military honors will follow at Wolf River Cemetery.
