Ellis Cartee

Ellis J. "T-Boy" Cartee, born on Easter Sunday, March 28, 1937,  transitioned into heaven on January 1, 2021. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Ruby Cartee and his brother Charles P. Cartee. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Jimmie Evans Cartee and his daughters Loura Sanabia (Ed) and Lianne Cartee (Lawrence Virgin) and by his grandchildren, Adam and Deanna Sanabia, and Elliot and Hayley Cartee. He is also survived by his sisters, Louise Crawley and Melba Fortenberry (Gary). He was a native of Gulfport, Mississippi born at Kings Daughters Hospital. Ellis loved his work operating heavy equipment and cranes at  West Pier in Gulfport, MS. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Gulfport.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport, MS.
